Osimhen world class striker. He has to one of the best strikers in the world right now. Moreover, it is surprising a bigger European team didn’t pick him up from Napoli. The Nigerian striker signed with Süper Lig club Galatasaray, on loan from Serie A club Napoli. Yes, Galatasaray, is a top level team, but even bigger European sides could certainly use a goal scorer like Osimhen.
It does look like Chelsea want to sign Osimhen, but it might be too late. He’s been on a goal scoring tear. I don’t think Napoli and or Galatasaray will let him leave unless the price is incredibly high.
Overall, if you watched him play for Napoli, where he helped them win the Serie A league title, you know how much talent he has. Additionally, if you watched him play with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia specifically at Napoli, you know what a high soccer IQ he has. So while he’s strong and fast, he also knows the game and able to play quick one twos and hold the ball if needed.
See Osimhen’s assist to Kvaratskhelia.
Oddly enough, Napoli signed Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to replace him. Who, of course, has had his trouble scoring goals at times.
In general, goal scores are hard to come by in world football. That’s why they make so much money. So again, it is almost shocking that no bigger team signed Osimhen. And maybe that’s why he’s playing like this: to show them how wrong they were.
I wouldn’t be surprised if other English Premier league teams other than Chelsea get into a bidding war for Osimhen. Manchester United comes to mind, certainly.
Osimhen signed with Galatasaray on loan after not getting the right offer this summer. He has 10 goal contributions in 8 games of late for Galatasaray.
Osimhen said this after the game versus Tottenham: “I won’t leave in January, I’m at Galatasaray until the end of the season. I don’t know what will happen after that, what are Galatasaray and Napoli talking about… If they come to me, we can talk. Galatasaray is a great club that I really like! I’m very happy at Galatasaray!”
And he added: “We have the squad to go further”. Victor Osimhen is seeing Europa League success with Galatasaray.
Pressuring the Tottenham Hotspur’s defender, he helps win the soccer ball. However, what stands out is the perfect pass by his Galatasaray teammate. Osimhen doesn’t have to wait for the ball. It comes right in his stride and he slots the ball home. Osimhen, world class striker like he is, isn’t going to miss from here.
