The Art of the Rainbow Flick

Costa Rainbow Flick

While Neymar is perhaps most famous for doing the rainbow flick, there are plenty of other soccer stars who can pull off this trick too. Douglas Costa comes to mind. Yes, the rainbow flick is usually a juggling trick reserved for the training ground, however, the audacious move is fun to see in an actual game when the time is right. Defenders hate it though.

Understandably, they don’t want to be embarrassed by having the soccer ball flick up and over their head. In many ways the rainbow flick is like the sombrero move, but rolled up the leg and flicked instead of juggled over the head of the defender. Still though, the sombrero move is equally embarrassing. Really, what’s worse, having the soccer ball juggled or flicked up over your head as a defender or put through your legs for a nutmeg.

Here are 20+ Amazing Rainbow Flicks in Football / Soccer.
